The Ironhawk family are the founders of Henford-on-Bagley and have Lorded the land for 12 generations. They built and owned the Ironhawk Arms in Finchwick, but sold it many years ago.
Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 3rd is the 12th and current holder of the title of Lord Henford. He currently has no heirs however he hopes that’ll change soon.
Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 3rd is the 12th Ironhawk man to take their place as Lord Henford-on-Bagley. He’s the only child of Lady Alice Ironhawk and Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 2nd.
Lord Kelvin was mostly raised by his beloved Nanny, Agnes Foster, and as such, his relationship with his Mother has always been strained, awkward, and lacking maternal bonds. His relationship with his father was also strained and interactions with him felt more like a business meeting than anything resembling a father and son.
While at boarding school, Lord Kelvin heard word that Agnes had passed away, this sent him into a spiral of grief and despair as his only source of love and affection has been obliterated from this world forever. He vowed from that moment on he will never love another.
As Lord Kelvin grew into a young man his Father tried to guide him towards finding a wife in order to sire another strong male Ironhawk heir to continue the legacy. However, Lord Kelvin refused, still reeling from the loss of Agnes, he couldn’t allow himself to bring another life into this world and instead spent his nights in San Myshuno partying his youth away.
Everything changed for Lord Kelvin when his father suddenly took ill. Duty-bound he returned to Henford-on-Bagley to take care of the estate, completely unaware that his life would change forever.
Not long after returning, Lord Ironhawk the 2nd passed away, formally passing on the title and responsibilities of Lord Henford-on-Bagley to Kelvin. As the years passed Lord Kelvin’s wild party spirit quietened and he instead preferred to spend his time quietly reading or studying the stars.
On one fateful night, while staying with his friend for the holidays, his path crossed with Rosalind Beaumont. He was captivated by her beauty and he felt himself drawn to her spirit. They spent the entire stay nestled alone together and savouring each other’s company. On the last day of the visit Lord Kelvin decided that he couldn’t bear to spend one second without her by his side so he hastily proposed marriage to which Rosalind eagerly accepted.
Within a matter of weeks, they had married and Rosalind along with her daughter, Tabitha Beaumont, had moved into Hawthorne Manor as the new Lady Ironhawk.
Excited to start a new chapter of his life, Lord Kelvin hired designers to create a bespoke nursery fit for the next Lord of Henford-on-Bagely. But as the months passed with no heir to be seen, he started to grow restless and spent more and more time in his city penthouse attending to his Lordly duties, leaving his new wife alone to fend for herself in a large, strange house.

Lady Roslind Ironhawk was born Rosalind Beaumont to parents Philip and Diane. Together with her three older brothers, Rosalind enjoyed a happy childhood. The Beaumonts weren’t a family of nobility, but through her Father’s hard work they held a good standing within the upper echelons of society.
When she was 7 years old, Rosalind’s father passed away, leaving her feeling broken and alone. No one had understood her like he had and losing him felt like the end of the world.
As Rosalind grew older, her Mother encouraged her to pursue hobbies suited for a wife and urged her to look towards nobility for a husband. At 18 her Mother pushed her to come out at the Debutante’s Ball in order to officially place her on the marriage market.
Rosalind was repulsed by the ideology her Mother was pushing onto her and so she fled to the city to live a life that was her own.
Rosalind found a job as a waitress but was quickly discovered by a modelling agency. Her new job took her to far flung corners of the world, gave her new experiences she’d never have imagined, and meet people she’d never have had the chance to meet.
But everything came to a grinding halt when she fell pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Tabitha. Her agency dropped her almost as quickly as they found her and all her new-found friends disappeared. That is, with the exception of Beatrice Fairfax. With Beatrice’s support, Rosalind was able to build her life back up once again.
Rosalind and Tabitha would spend each holiday season with Fairfax family, who all invited her in like a second daughter. Then one fateful year, everything changed when Lord Ironhawk the 3rd walked through the door.
The moment their eyes locked, they were drawn to one another and for the first time in a long time Rosalind felt understood. Lord Kelvin was everything she didn’t know she needed and when he proposed marriage she like all her wishes had come true.
After a whirlwind engagement and lavish wedding, the happy couple got to work trying to expand their family, but excitement and enthusiasm quickly turned into despair and disappointment as each test came back negative.
Loneliness set in as Lord Kelvin pulled away from her, leaving her to wander the halls of Hawthorne Manor alone. Weeks became months and barely a word was uttered between them.
Isolation gave way to indifference and she found her eyes wandering towards the Manor’s gardener. She felt inexplicably drawn towards him, their stolen glances and subtle smiles exchanged in secret, completely unaware they were being observed.

Lady Alice Ironhawk was born to Charles Edward Bellwhistle and Mary Ann Alice Ironhawk. She is the wife and second cousin of Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 2nd.
Alice was a strange little girl, she was completely obsessed with her Governess, Eleanor Ashcroft, whom she fully believed to be a witch as Miss Ashcroft could calm down her baby brothers when no one else could.
As a teenager, Alice snuck off to Glimmerbrook with the help of her friend, where she gained access to a spell book which she kept hidden under her floorboards. Each night she would secretly practice but only ever managed to perform the most basic spells poorly.
Her life turned upside down on the eve of her 17th birthday when her Mother strode into her room and announced that she would be marrying Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 2nd, a man she had never heard of let alone met. Displeased with the idea of marrying a stranger, and her second cousin no less, Alice gathered her most treasured belongings together and rifled desperately through her spell book to find a spell to help her. The moment her hand laid rest on a promising spell, the door burst open and in walked a procession of maids to get her ready for her big day. She was too late.
All of Alice’s hopes and dreams shattered the moment the words “I do” left her lips, resolved to a life she did not want with a man she could never love. To her dismay, Lord Kelvin felt duty bound to provide an heir with an utmost importance; a prospect she did not want to face and nine months later Lord Kelvin the 3rd was born.
After his birth, Lady Alice immediately withdrew, having fulfilled her role to produce an heir, she rejected both her maternal and spousal responsibilities. She spent her time alone, but often escaped into the dead of night for temporary respite with a host of different strangers. Lord Kelvin the 2nd grew angry at her refusal to bear a spare but Lady Alice remained steadfast in her decision.
Thirty long, lonely years had passed for Lady Alice when Lord Kelvin the 2nd suddenly took ill and became bedbound. She had long hoped for that day and had tried to hasten its arrival with the use of witchcraft but unfortunately any magic she did possess left her the moment her son was born. The moment Lord Kelvin the 2nd died felt like a weight lifted from her shoulders, she finally felt free.
As the years passed, Lady Alice became content with her son’s decision to refuse a wife and so the news of Lord Kelvin the 3rd’s engagement shocked her but also brought a new predicament for her to handle. After her son’s wedding to Rosalind, she summoned Rosalind to tea to finally explain the situation she thought she’d never have to tackle.

Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the second and 11th Lord of Henford-on-Bagley was born to Lord Kelvin Nesbitt Oswald Byron Ironhawk the 1st and his wife, Lady Aurelia Clementine Ironhawk. He was the eldest of three children and delighted in knowing that he was the one who would be taking up the Lordship over his siblings. So much so he often taunted his siblings to such an extent that they refused to speak to him throughout the remainder of his lifetime.
Lord Kelvin the 2nd impatiently counted down the days to his fathers death, just itching to become the next Lord. He spent his time waiting by gaining as many diplomas as he could and studying previous Lords to best prepare him for the job.
When word finally came that his Father had passed he celebrated with an extravagant party before returning home to play the part of the grieving son. He wasted no time after the funeral to take on his new duties and set about looking for a wife to bear him a heir and spare.
He approached the idea in a very matter of fact and logical way, deliberating each option before deciding on Alice Bellwhistle. Young and pure with Ironhawk blood herself, Lord Kelvin thought that together they would make a strong heir to carry on the family legacy. And he was sure that with time she’d come to love him too.

Tabitha Beaumont is the only child of Rosalind Ironhawk (nee Beaumont). Before moving to Henford-on-Bagley, she lived with her mother in the city, although she much prefers living in the countryside.
Tabitha was excited to meet her stepfather, especially after the stories of kindness her Mother had shared but was dismayed to find that Lord Kelvin was very awkward and distant towards her.
Lord Kelvin wanted Tabitha to attend a prestigious public boarding school, mostly to get her out of the way but Rosalind insisted she attend the local state primary school, St. Etheldreda’s, in Finchwick. There she met her best friend, NANNYS DAUGHTER, much to Lord Kelvin’s disappointment.
Despite not thinking much of her stepfather, Tabitha is very much looking forward to becoming a big sister and she enjoys spending her time drawing pictures and sticking them on the walls of her future siblings’ nursery.
